Details: The first of two consecutive outings with Natural England.

Tuesday, 16 October 2018 Rowland Wood, East Hoathly Task: clearing bramble, bracken etc
Details: Our first task of the winter for Butterfly Conservation. There should be plenty for scope for some scything.

Tuesday, 9 October 2018 Whitehawk Hill, Brighton Task: burning cut scrub
Details: We're back on Whitehawk Hill to burn the bramble etc that we cut two weeks ago. There will also be plenty of opportunity to clear more scrub to feed the fire.

Tuesday, 2 October 2018 Markstakes Common, Chailey Task: clearing reeds etc from pond
Details: We're with Lewes/Eastbourne council, making our annual trip to the pond on Markstakes Common. We'll be thinning out some of the rampant reeds which would otherwise swamp the pond. Obviously a day for wellingtons.
