2017-05-19 09:33:50 LONGEST OUTDOOR STAIRWAY IN BRIGHTON? Our volunteers have completed a flight of more than 130 oak steps up Whitehawk Hill, one of the steepest gradients in Brighton. It was completed over three days in April and provides a direct pedestrian link from Whitehawk to the rest of the city. As well as being a short cut, it also encourages healthy exercise -- as the volunteers can testify after going up and down it many times.

2015-08-20 06:07:20 PLANTERS EXTRAORDINAIRE Over the summer BCV has been busy planting wildflowers in many parts of the city. It's estimated we have put in about 40,000 wildflower "plugs" in a variety of sites. These include Woodingdean, Portslade, Hove Lagoon, Whitehawk and East Brighton

We continue to attract volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds. And I think we have established a reputation as an effective and efficient workforce.
